Bare
root stock
Bare root trees are the most economical, and are usually
the preferred stock when larger quantities of trees
are needed. However, bare root trees are also more difficult
to store and handle, requiring extra care to maximize
the success of a plantation.
The order forms are for pick-up/delivery in the spring of 2007. See the bare root stock order form for species availability and pricing.

Container
stock
Container stock has been growing in a container for
one or more seasons, with dense roots bound to the soil,
making planting easier than planting bare root stock.
Being smaller than bare root, container stock has a
more difficult time establishing on competitive sites
and may require more site preparation and after-care.
Available container stock and pricing can be found
in the container stock order
form. |

Potted
stock
Potted stock has been growing in a container for three
months or more, and is easier to store and handle than
bare root stock. Potted stock can be planted any time
throughout the growing season.
Our current inventory and pricing can be found in the
potted stock page. |
